Unlike what we commonly see on television or the Internet, the reality is not to ask capital investment (Venture Capital and Angel Investment) and work with the money of others, the reality is much more complicated than that. We first demonstrate concrete results investing our own money, effort and dedication to each other after we have the first signs of success there recently we will be able to seek out capital.
For several reasons this is the best way, even though there is not a formula for success in a Start-Up. Here are some points to consider:
Starting with our own savings makes us focus more on the product or service that we would like to develop with excellence, and not waste time with endless meetings and negotiations to raise capital. Always remember that the most important when we are just starting is not under any view the organizational structure, office or other most important external point, but on the contrary, we, our skills, our efforts and our final development finished solving a particular problem for the user.
In most cases, the chances that start with an idea in mind and then have to adjust, change, or "pivot" our concept of Product or Service to develop are very high. Based on this, yes we have or we have a third party investment, it is more likely that those persons or entities applying for the investment results we delivered. This is not good news for us founders, yes well we should focus on being efficient to develop our business, the first months of a Start-Up should focus on meeting our potential clients, their needs, their habits, their preferences and it takes a long time to learn, digest and eventually reflect in our implementation.
Compromising our own money and savings, not a third party makes us make decisions with limited resources and few, far more accurate. Spending someone else's money is easy, but ours, how much effort it took to win, it is harder and takes another mental process.
This process is that going to lead to success; each undertaking must invest every penny wisely. Each investment must has be measured in time and form, and this allows us to undertake on the Internet an ecosystem where we can perform measurements of each investment and at the same time improving our results by adjusting our Landing Page, our Funnel conversion, etc.
In conclusion, it noted that the mindset of an entrepreneur is not as seen in these times by different media, to see who raises more capital and who spends the investment faster. On the contrary, the ability to entrepreneur is on how to invest your time, effort and limited to produce a product and service that really solves a central problem for as many people as possible.
